Attention New Swim Team Families! So admit it, you have always wondered who is on the team and what it takes to be a part of the team, right?  You are curious but all you know is the pool sometimes closes early (usually right as you show up…) and then the big kids enter with red hair, crazy costumes and start chanting about The Fins. It is time to learn more about us… What your child will get out of the pre-team/ swim team: Great swim lessons Lasting friendships Good sense of teamwork Increase in self-confidence Decrease in boredom Invitations to lots of fun social events (not mandatory) Remember: You do not need to be a fantastic swimmer before you join You do not need to surrender every Saturday/Wednesday of your summer for the meets You do not need to volunteer all of the time It is not very expensive to join You do not have to race in all of the meets Generally speaking, kids aged 5 and up can do pre-team/swim team May 23rd from 7-8pm -- We will have an information meeting at the pool (although the pool does not officially open until Saturday May 26th, we will have access to the pool grounds for the meeting).   Please, we want our young families to feel they can ask us questions about what to expect.   We remember feeling completely overwhelmed when we started.  We have since moved to slightly confused but people have accepted us .  It should be nothing but a fun, positive experience! The Rock Creek Swim Team is competing in Division D this year. Dale Lewis returns as head coach.   Ardis Kelso and Vance Hyndman are the new A team representatives this year.
